Last night we went to see Neko Case at Massey Hall.

Wow.

She was not holding back last night. The experience was invigorating. She has an amazing and unique voice and she knows how to use it. Every note she sang tin my senses.

Her backing band was fantastic too, and equipped exclusively with instruments that were awesome. She had:

I hope Mastodon's album tomorrow is awesomer.

The New Pornographers last night were so exciting! There's nothing like seeing a band you love for the first time, and it's even better when they bring their A game and the set is fantastic. It never really changes. I can't explain it, but so many albums I love are ones that I thought were boring and pointless on the first listen.
